JBFC Community

Since we opened our doors in 2001, our goal has been to build community through shared experiences. Over the last nine years, movie goers have come together at the Theater to watch thousands of films from more than 50 countries, participating in Q&As with a broad spectrum of guests including filmmakers, authors, musicians, scholars, and more. Whether through a Q&A following a screening or an impromptu conversation continued in our lobby, film can evoke debate and discussion. And now, with the opening of our Media Arts Lab in 2009, students of all ages have the opportunity to learn about the power of story through filmmaking.

In addition to attending a film or taking a class, there are many ways to stay connected to the JBFC. Follow us on Twitter, become a fan on Facebook, check out the JBFC Blog, and receive our weekly e-bulletins for the latest schedules updates and booked films.

Want to come to a film and join in the discussion afterwards? Join the Jacob Burns Indie Film Fanatics on Meetup.com. This group was started by JBFC fans that love movies and love to talk about them.
