The perfect introduction to everything the Lab has to offer! Get to know every production space in our state-of-the-art facility.
• Create green-screen special effects in the sound stage
• Learn about sound editing and music in the recording studio
• Begin to use editing software
• Act for the camera

A SONG FOR THE SCREEN
Semester-Long Program
12–13 years
Collaborate to compose, write lyrics, perform tracks, and produce an original theme song for a film.
• Be a music producer, using the same tools and techniques as your favorite recording artists
• Learn GarageBand
• For students who have been studying a musical instrument or voice for at least one year
• Presented in collaboration with Manhattan Producers Alliance

Be a movie critic and make new friends. Join a group of kids your age to explore the vision, craft, and language of film by viewing, discussing, and reviewing movies from around the world.
• Watch blockbusters and influential indie films
• The main character in every film is a child or teenager
• Open to students attending schools that do not already participate. Check with your school before registering.
