Equipment Access
If a course requires work outside of class time, students are encouraged to use their own equipment or computer, if possible. However, Media Arts Lab equipment is also available to students outside of class time, if necessary for course completion. All associated costs are included in the tuition fees.
Students are expected to treat the facilities and equipment with the highest degree of care. If an instructor deems that a student has intentionally misused the facilities or equipment, the student will be asked to withdraw from class and will not be permitted to register for future classes at the Media Arts Lab.
To borrow equipment or use an editing station outside of class time, the student (or parent/guardian) is required to complete an Equipment Usage Contract, which makes them financially responsible for the equipment. The contract also outlines all regulations regarding borrowing equipment. The contract is available through the course instructor.
