Young children create their own unique stories as well as original versions of classic folktales in this exciting new 6-week course.
• Explore stories from around the world through hands-on media.
• Learn to build your own one-of-a-kind visual stories.
• Make picture books, videos, stop-motion animation, and more!
• Bring characters and places to life.

SEEING STORIES
Young children listen to stories from around the world and use their imaginations to create, tell, and act out their own tales.
• Short animated movies and activities both in front of and behind the camera round out the rich experience.
• Noted storyteller/author Bill Gordh collaborated with the JBFC to create this dynamic curriculum.

BLUE SKY STUDIOS AT THE JBFC
A member of the Blue Sky Studios team will participate in these special programs presented in collaboration with the Katonah Museum of Art (KMA).

 

A TASTE OF ANIMATION
If you can imagine it, you can make it happen in the Lab’s Animation Studio!
• Create stop-motion animated films using clay, paper, sand, and other fun materials.
• Bring characters, places, and stories to life through the magic of animation.
• Also offered for Grades 3-4, Grades 5-8, and Grades 9-12

Tour the KMA exhibition “Ice Age to the Digital Age” and then come to the Lab for a hands-on project.
