Taiwan, Next Door
Above is an excerpt from Taiwan, Next Door, a film created by students in JBFC's World Crew 2009. The documentary follows a community of Taiwanese seniors who get together almost every day at the Taiwan Cultural Center in Queens, a place that represents home in their new country.
A premiere screening of Taiwan, Next Door will take place on Tues. Jan. 5, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Jacob Burns Film Center, followed by a Q&A with faculty and college students of World Crew, moderated by JBFC Executive Director Steve Apkon.
