Documentary film, once at the margins of our culture, has made a dramatic shift to the center with such movies as An Inconvenient Truth, Sicko, Born into Brothels, and Mad Hot Ballroom. Thom Powers, the documentary programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival, has highlighted this trend in his acclaimed Manhattan series "Stranger Than Fiction" - which he now brings to the Burns. For five consecutive nights, he’ll screen a new or soon-to-be released doc followed by a Q&A with the director.
