You, Mom, and the Cowboy“The Unlimited Possibilities of Cinema: Selected by Apichatpong Weerasethakul” AW: “I love a movie when it divides audiences. In this one, Buster Keaton is reincarnated as a Tokyo teen (who is also a director of the film). The silence and the machine’s humming are hypnotizing, heartbreaking.” The moody story of George, a young man who works at a wholesale market, sees some friends, and lives in the house his grandmother left to him. It all seems uneventful, but it’s not about the events.
