Safety Last

Movies for Kids (and their Families)

Harold Lloyd became known as “the King of Daredevil Comedy” for this silent classic, which includes one of the most famous images in film: Lloyd dangling from the hands of a giant clock, 12 stories above the street. Famously performed without a net, that hair-raising stunt is just one of the unforgettable moments in this brilliant comedy.

Piano accompaniment by Ben Model, who has been performing his own scores for silent films at the Burns, the Museum of Modern Art, and other venues since 1984.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

New Releases

"A sterling cast and a fine balance of comedy and poignancy make this story of unfulfilled Brit retirees discovering new life in India a pleasure-filled journey." (David Rooney, The Hollywood Reporter)

Enticed by advertisements for the newly restored Marigold Hotel, a group of British retirees decide to “outsource” their retirement and move to less expensive and seemingly, exotic India. They soon discover that the hotel is a shell of its former self and isn’t as luxurious as they had believed. With an all-star cast that includes Bill Nighy, Judi Dench, and Maggie Smith, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a witty, up-lifting, feel-good comedy.

Follow Me: The Yoni Netanyahu Story

New Releases

Follow Me: The Yoni Netanyahu Story was the quickest sell-out of the thirty-three programs in this year’s Westchester Jewish Film Festival. If you missed it before, here is your chance to see this affecting and revealing documentary. Jonathan “Yoni” Netanyahu is an Israeli icon of courage and daring, killed during the 1976 hostage rescue mission at the Entebbe Airport in Uganda. This complex, nuanced biography interweaves the story of a passionate young army commando driven by a sense of duty to his country with a fresh account of the Entebbe raid itself. Including interviews with Yoni’s brother Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, and others.
