Westchester Jewish Film Festival 2012

We’re thrilled to introduce the 2012 edition of the Westchester Jewish Film Festival, with 33 programs that celebrate the diversity of the Jewish experience. In addition to a crop of fascinating documentaries, dramas, and live appearances by more than a dozen guests—including Robert Klein—we’re presenting some wonderful new films that come to us straight from Israel. This promises to be an extraordinary three weeks.

A photography exhibition upstairs in the Jane Peck Gallery will accompany this series.

The first US showing of an exhibition of the work of Israeli photographer and journalist Rudi Weissenstein (1910–1992). Curated by Ben Peter, Weissenstein’s grandson and owner of the Tel Aviv gallery Pri-Or PhotoHouse, this collection offers unparalleled views of the development of Tel Aviv, the first Jewish city, and of other seminal moments in Israeli history from 1936 to 1960. On view upstairs in the Jane Peck Gallery during receptions and at other times throughout the festival.
Presented by the JBFC and Westchester Jewish Council
